Your day is special, to be remembered and cherished for the rest of your life. Holding your day in one of the most magical wedding venues in Yorkshire can only only add to the occasion.
With the magnificent backdrop of the 15th century Barden Tower on the northern edge of the Bolton Abbey estate, this one of the most historic of Yorkshire wedding venues. Steeped in history and charm, this totally unique house is surrounded by some of the best landscape the Yorkshire Dales can offer.
The photo opportunities are endless, with superb backdrops of the ruin of the once magnificent tower, the Priests House itself, the orchard, the woods or the valley stretching into the distance. The scenery and mystique of the place is dramatic whatever the season with the winter months and the dark nights actually complement the authenticity of the medieval surroundings.
The Priests House is ideal for small, exclusive ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and receptions. Whilst space in the restaurant is limited, this adds to the intimate and romantic feel of the day. There are various options holding just your ceremony followed by a celebratory drink and canapé’s or following with a wedding breakfast or even a medieval themed occasion to fit in with this historic venue. No wedding is too small.
With the Tower, grounds and fabulous views all around, the venue is perfect for larger events through the use of a marquee, the bunk barn or our unique “picnic” weddings. You will have exclusive use of the house for the duration of your stay. We have our own marquee which can host parties up to 100 people for a sit down meal (see Wedding Marquees) and which can also accommodate larger evening receptions. Marquee weddings don’t have to cost a fortune if you can tie it in with our dedicated marquee weeks.
Making use of the Barden Bunk Barn can also extend the day into the evening and provide overnight accommodation for up to 24 guests thus providing two totally unique venues with little need to worry over timings between them or travel arrangements. You will be our guests for the day.
We pride ourselves on the friendliness of our service, the quality cuisine and the many personal touches that will make your day feel like the most important one in the world.
We don’t employ wedding coordinators - as the proprietor, Debbie, will liaise with you directly throughout and be your hostess on the day itself. We can design and make your floral arrangements, including room displays, bouquets and button holes to complement your chosen colour scheme.
With so much choice especially re menus and flowers we don't have standardised wedding packages. The attached brochure provide some outline costs and ideas to consider.
To arrange a viewing or discuss your wedding plans, don't hesitate to contact Debbie on
01756 720616 Thursday to Sunday,
or drop us an email. We look forward to hearing from you.
